Great post and I agree.

In the ad biz we have something known as “a teaser.” It’s based on the “less is more” philosophy meaning that you want to just say enough to spark someone’s curiosity.. and get them eager to know more. In an elevator, that should be the only goal. And, if done well, you’d be surprised at the potential results. I didn’t know Vicky Likens had taken up coaching! Great questions to ask ourselves. We should always keep the distinction at hand… What will bring me success vs What seems interesting. I think I will use this all day as I am constantly having to choose to use my time wisely.

I just listened to your first class in the Mini-Makeover. Wow! I can see how to completely redo my bio page to make it more intriguing and compelling.

I am a new speaker, and it is great to hear how using ALL of my work experience can overcome my lack of formal speaking experience.

I’m so glad I signed up, and can’t wait until next month’s class.

Vickie, I was fortunate enough to be on “the hot seat” when you were in Boston. You gave so much of your knowledge, experience, and insight.
