More importance will be placed on our “influence score.” You can already see this at sites like Klout.com, where we’re assigned a score based on the number of times we interact with people on the social media sites, and our reach.

Experts disagree on whether the Klout score is accurate. But sites like Klout, and software programs, are already springing up to measure influence. Just one more reason why we need to be promoting our expertise on these sites.
